Where My Bushes At?

Every month, I pay massive condo fees that cover, among other things, upkeep for the exterior of my home, to include all vegetation. My neighbor, Rob, decided that he was bored this past summer, so he decided to pull ALL of the shrubbery around our houses (against regulation). He said that he was going to re-plant everything (new plants). On his own nickel.

And pull he did. Without telling anyone. Without seeking approval. Without asking if other tenants (like me!) would mind having bare ground where I once had vegetation.

And he did re-plant most everything, with one glaring omission.

Here’s the walkway leading up to my house. My house is on the right side of the picture; you can't quite see my door, but you'd follow the sidewalk to the right (Rob’s house is even farther right, out of the picture). Note all the vegetation that he re-planted.

And here is Rob’s house. My house is to the left of this picture. Note all the vegetation that he re-planted outside his own home.

And here is my house. Note all the vegetation that he re-planted isn’t there.

Here’s the thing: I like Rob (and his very nice lady-friend, Sharon), so I don’t want to be un-neighborly and say anything about the fact that it looks like I will be spending the winter with bare ground outside my house (as I think it’s too late to plant anything now). What should I do?

  1. Simple: find your balls (they obviously won't be hidden behind your bush!) and go to your homeowners board. Make them deal with Rob. Sister, please!
